NYC, Brooklyn and Queens

New York City! i have lived there in the past for years. I especially like the graffiti in the 3rd picture which was taken in Queens (5 points). The first one is from uptown Manhattan (Harlem) and the second is from Brooklyn (Myrtle ave. and London Square). These were submitted by users. Please, if anyone would like to share anything at all, send to ghettoamericablog@gmail.com , Thank You Dustin!

  1. I like this picture. There is something really beautiful about splashes of color against cold concrete. Maybe that is what Basquiat was thinking when he made his stake in the world.

The photo at the top is very shocking, like a war zone.

I live in NYC...the trut is that there are not really abondoned areas any longer. They may seem like it - for examply the building look graffiti ridden and derelict on the outsiode, yet inside its brand new luxury lofts where stockbrokers can "slum it" , paying $10.00 for rent..

Graffiti doesn't automatically mean ghetto. 5 Pointz is in Long Island City in a relatively safe area. It's also right next to MoMA PS1, which makes it kind of a tourist attraction. The building is occupied by artists and graffiti writers.

For the backpacking wilderness and organized trekking to the Himalaya, Nepal offers unlimited attractive trekking routes for the trekkers to enjoy and rejoice. Snow-capped mountains, green lush forests up in the hill, ever flowing glacial rivers, laid-back rural human settlement and the pristine hospitality are gearing up for the trekkers to get enthralled and hypnotized by its mere beauty. As a result of the uphill and downhill walk, crossing numerous rivers passing through the passes and villages would treat you with the experience of trekking to the fairyland. The major routes for trekking in Nepal are the Everest region, Annapurna region, Langtang region, Manaslu region, Rara region, Upper Mustang region and various off the beaten adventure trails.
