Brooklyn

Steve-O hasn't died yet, at least not that I know of. Last time I checked he had a TV. show on MTV called "Wild Boys" or something like that. However his day is coming soon i think. When you swallow broken glass followed by a shot of tequila while smoking PCP on a daily basis i don't know how long you have to live.

i think every city in the world has ghettos.. people call them ghettos because they see movies on the tv with black people in them doing drive by's and shit.. i live in belfast and where im from i could get rougher pictures an videos of all sorts of crime than that. its not all bad though, there still is decent people here

oh im very shocked by seeing this pictures, on monday i have a speech about the ghettos in america and i had searched for some information and pictures, im living in germany and i always knew that there are enough ghettos in america, of course everywhere, but the pictures of the poor people and dirty streets really shocked me, in germany i have never seen places like that, america is a rich country so there has to be done something against all the ghettos, thats my opinion!!

The Ghettos add charm to America, my parents both grew up in the bronx, worked hard and got out, its not like your life is over if your from the "ghetto" just stay away from gangs and drugs and your out

You need to get some pictures of East New York, Bedstye, Coney Island(not Astroland, but go deeper into the projects part), & Canarsie at the hood section. Also trying getting da New Lot housings complex...that's a sight to behold & also Brownsville.

  13. To Paul: I agree that the run down, abandoned ruins of urban america can be appealing and inspiring, but there is nothing beautiful about these areas. To a passive observer the ghetto may seem like a thought-provoking environment, but to those who live there, life is a constant struggle.

  14. To Pete: I agree that the ruins of urban america can seem appealing or thought provoking on the outside, but only a passive observer would call a ghetto beautiful. To those who live in America's hidden third world, life is a constant struggle and every time you set foot outside, you are taking a major risk. There is nothing beautiful about Our nation's disgustingly unequal distribution of wealth or its lack of concern for those in need.

This is my hood,I was born in Brooklyn.... and people don't believe there is a ghetto until they actually lived in one. I was raised in the projects of both Puerto Rico and Brooklyn.

America is rich and beautiful as I understand not for all. I think in this country censorship yet stronger what in SSSr in a 20 age.

  20. to the guy shocked from germany. it's a simple concept. the gap between the rich the poor grows with each dollar made. the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. here in saint louis all the people with money moved across the river into a newly developed part of town called St. Charles/St. Peters and left all us lower middle class residents here in STL.

I'm originally from Brooklyn and there's definitely ghetto parts, stabbings, shootings, drugs all that...now I'm in Florida and down South the ghettos are worse in my opinion just because it's all impoverished. You have to see some parts you'd think you were in another country where people dont have running water and all that...it's real. Look in Alabama I think they have one of the poorest cities in the world. In BK we're just crazy LOL

yo NYC all by it's self is ghetto. I mean midtown manhattan is nice, but then you got harlem, spanish harlem, washington heights, all ghetto projects and slums. Brooklyn's got flatbush, crownheights, bedstudy, brownsville, beswick all ghetto projects violence just manhattan and also the Bronx, Queens, etc are all gang, violence, drugs infested. If you ever move to nyc go to long island or yonkers. beside i would keep watch on your life.

You know I hate the use of the word "Ghetto" and ignorant people who classify that word with black people it should be taking out of our vocabulary. The funny thing is the areas they are showing do not look like this in person and would find that many white people reside in these areas. That is all !

First - Definition of a ghetto, is a part of a city, occupied by the same group of people. In the Projects in US, The Estates in UK, Have i seen a majority of africans-american/british - colored. I California, witch is 80% ghetto, poor, mexicans and black, the majority are poor, in Spanish Harlem flooded with hispanics. But I have also seen white "rich" ghettos in Brooklyn, the nice coastal area, that isnt expensive!
But europe got their own ghetto sitirations, france, paris and mailsaille. Germany Rohr district, and then ther is Krutzberg, Berlin, 1. million turkish, they live nice though. Have propper job,
Even even the northern part of EU and scandinavia.
Have their own problems with ghetto sitirations, mostly peoples of arabric or other middle easter desent.
The whole easter europe is one bit ghetto, Asia is pretty f*?%&t besides parts of Hongkong, Parts of china and japan.
and africa, I think their are many who are praying for yall.

  26. I know this post is old as shit, but where did the guys who said California is 80% ghetto get his stats from and where does he live? California some of the nicest and most expensive neiborhoods in America. Even the ghettos look nice and cost more to live in then a middle class neighborhood in most states like Texas and north Carolina.what makes it ghetto is the gang violence if anything, but 80% is not gang infested.
