Pictures of "Ghetto America" I have found on the web that draws up deep feeling and/or emotion of urban life in America. I take no credit in actually taking these pictures. To me it is art. How far are you willing to go to get that shot? Where is the most dangerous place you have been with a camera? post your pictures.

I noticed these photo's have a slight haze over them. Is that because of all the smog in the air in Los Angeles?
I don't know, i have enver been to LA. but I heard there is a major smog problem over there.
ya there is alot but they cause alot of people who cause fires because it is so dry
i live here in watts and ive been to new york and all its ghetto and i say L.A. is much more ghetto
it is pretty smoggy here and kidna disgusting. but ive been to d.c., baltimore, and phili. and nothing compares to la's ghettos. and the areas around la too.
Los Angeles ghetto's are scary to drive through at 2am. I had the misfortune of getting off the wrong exit on the 405. Yikes!
man listen im from North Philly and there are new cities who have ghetto's like we do here...on my block alone there were 9 homicedes in about 2 months and in my projects they took the street signs down and the cops wont come in at night cuz the chances of them makin it out isslim 2 none

LA's ghettos look worse than B-more, D.C. or Philly??? Total bullshit judging by these pics on here. The ghetto's of places like bmore philly or d.c. look like real ghettos/slums rather than some suburban sprawl. LA is not a big giant ghetto like some are claiming on here I got fam down there and as far as what I saw I've seen a helluva lot worse elsewhere.
Aye the vato above me you cnt say nothing by just looking at pictures unless you grew up in WATTS CALIFAS homie. The GRAPE STReet projects the Imperial projects and the Central Projets are worse then any other projects. I lived in the Projects on Central Ave. that is run by The Bounty Hunter Blood Gang in the early 90's and sometimes in the morning there would be a dead body right outside.
L.A's Ghettos don't look as bad as some of the east coast cities because the buildings on the west are not as old. But this is gangland, more gang members and homeless than any other city. If you get the homeless population of New York, Chicago and San Fransisco combined it will still not add up to 2/3 of L.A's. my mom lived in east LA she cant believe how it is now ya its a differnt time then when she was there but damn all that fighting killing for what a color and street that isnt even yours get a job and then have something thats yours to really call your own
why yall argue over what is more ghetto? either it is ghetto or it is not a ghetto. it ain't a competition. if you don't live in the ghetto, don't come to the ghetto. you wouldn't understand the ghetto. stay out the ghetto.
i been to compton,watts downtown LA and east LA. i haf to say that new york,philly,bmore, and other east coast citys are worse looking than compton. watts is somewhat to me more crime ridden than compton.once i went to downtown LA and there was a guy at a 7 eleven with a gun in his pants.crazy.ya there is a lot of smog though.mostly by all the traffic
